Function and Application

1. Used as a solvent for musk and a flavoring agent, used as a substitute for camphor in celluloid. It is also used as a plasticizer, especially when mixed with resin in nitrocellulose, and mixed with diethyl phthalate or dibutyl ester. In addition, it is also used in preparation of pertussis medicine, anti-asthma medicine and insect repellent, anti-mite agent.
