Dabigatran etexilate mesylate is an alternative clinical direct thrombin inhibitor and a new type of oral anticoagulant. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the formation of fibrin through reversible and strong competition to bind to the fibrin specific binding site of thrombin, thereby inhibiting the formation of thrombus.
