Calcipotriene a vitamin D derivative, binds to cell surface VD3 receptors to regulate intracellular DNA and keratin synthesis, inhibits excessive proliferation of skin cells (keratinocytes), and induces their differentiation, thus correcting the proliferation and differentiation of skin cells in disease. At the same time, it regulates the release of inflammatory cytokines, inhibits inflammatory infiltration and hyperplasia, and plays an anti-inflammatory role.
