Alogliptin benzoate is a serine protease two peptide peptidase IV (DPP- IV) inhibitor developed by Takeda company in japan. This product can maintain the levels of glucagon like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and Glucose dependent insulin-like growth polypeptide (GIP) in vivo and promote the secretion of insulin and thus exert hypoglycemic effect.
