Cefradine is the first semi-synthetic cephalosporin, and its antimicrobial activity is similar to that of cefalexin. This product can be taken orally with good absorption and high blood concentration. It is characterized by resistance to beta-lactamase, rapid and reliable bactericidal action against resistant Staphylococcus aureus and other broad-spectrum antibiotic-resistant bacteria, mainly in the form of urinary excretion with high urine concentration. It is mainly used for respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissue infections, such as bronchitis, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, cystitis, otorhinolaryngitis, enteritis and dysentery.

Function
Cefradine, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, has the same action mechanism as other cephalosporins in order to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell wall. It has bactericidal effect on Gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is stable under acidic conditions. It absorbs quickly on fasting and is not affected by penicillinase. It also has significant antimicrobial activity against most of the penicillinase-producing Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
Application
Cefradine is an oral preparation for acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, bronchitis and pneumonia, urinary and reproductive tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria. It is not suitable for severe infections.
